“We reduced prescription medicine by 60, 70, 80%”
MISLEADING
What the record shows
Medicare negotiated prices for individual drugs range from 38% to 79% discounts off 2023 list prices (first 10 drugs, effective 2026). Average savings across first 10 drugs: 22%; across next 15 drugs: 44%. These apply only to selected high-cost Medicare drugs, not all prescription medicines.
