What the record shows
Iran's inflation reached 89.8% point-to-point in September 2026 (Statistical Center of Iran). However, Venezuela's 2026 inflation is projected at 387.4% and Sudan's at 75.1% (IMF World Economic Outlook), making Iran 3rd globally, not uniquely extreme.
Iran has severe inflation but not uniquely so. Venezuela's inflation is ~5.6x higher; Sudan's is comparable. The claim misrepresents Iran's position.
