Energy Secretary Wright stated 17+ million barrels transited Hormuz on Sept 1, 2026; independent trackers (Kpler, JPMorgan) report 4-8.6 million barrels/day through the strait itself, with discrepancy partly due to inclusion of pipeline bypasses and dark transits.
