“Inflation, mortgage rates, and gas prices are all higher than when you took office”

MISLEADING
What the record shows
Inflation (CPI-U YoY) was 1.4% in Jan 2021, peaked at 9.1% in Jun 2022, fell to 3.4% by Jan 2025 (BLS CPI-U). Gas prices: $2.86/gal Jan 2021 → $3.79/gal Jan 2025 (EIA). Mortgage rates: ~2.7% Jan 2021 → ~6.8% Jan 2025 (Freddie Mac). Inflation has fallen significantly from peak; gas and mortgage rates remain elevated.

Inflation is now lower than peak but higher than Jan 2021 start. Gas and mortgage rates are higher. Claim oversimplifies by omitting inflation's recent decline.
